Dr. Carissa Stone
Dr. Carissa H. Stone has been practicing Pain Management since 1992 when she began her residency in Anesthesiology at University of South Florida which she completed in 1995. She also completed a fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury and Rehabilitation at James Haley VA in Tampa, was certified under DATA for Suboxone addiction treatment. Dr. Stone will complete a wellness certification in the fall of 2010. She also completed a fellowship in Anti-aging Functional Regenerative Medicine.
Dr. Stone specializes in the treatment of back, neck, and cancer pain, as well as the treatment of complex regional pain syndromes. She performs interventional pain management procedures utilizing fluoroscopic guidance with patient sedation, nerve blocks, epidural injections, selective nerve root blocks, radiofrequency neural ablation, and sympathetic blocks. Dr. Stone is a Workman’s Compensation provider.
Dr. Stone integrates a whole person wellness/ nutritional approach to her practice which includes discussions on weight loss and dietary changes.
