Benjamin Contreras, M.D. completed his residency in Anesthesiology at USF in 2006 and subsequently did a fellowship in advanced pain medicine and is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and pain medicine. Dr. Contreras currently practicing throughout the Tampa Bay and Dade City/Pasco area with Gulf-to-Bay Anesthesiology Associates, P.A. Division of Pain Medicine.

Willem J. Nel, M.D. Dr Nel has been practicing Pain Management since 1996 when he began his residency in Anesthesiology at University of South Florida. He has practiced both Anesthesiology and Pain Management since that time and is board certified in both specialties.

Dr Nel uses advanced techniques for treating numerous types of pain. He specializes in the treatment of back, neck, and cancer pain as well as the treatment of complex regional pain syndromes. He performs interventional pain management procedures utilizing fluoroscopic guidance and patient sedation, as needed. Dr. Nel performs nerve blocks, epidural injections, selective nerve root blocks, radiofrequency neural ablation, sympathetic blocks, spinal cord stimulation, spinal (morphine) pumps, discograms, discoplasty, and IDET (intra-discal electorthermal ablation) procedures. Dr Nel is also fluent in Afrikaans.
